ALL USERS:
There has been a warning that a particular virus that has been out for a while will be attempting to cause more issues starting April 1, 2009. As long as anti virus is installed on your machine you are protected. Our servers do show that all workstations on the network are updating as they should be, but to further ensure prevention you can go to the following link to install an update :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0D5F9B6E-9265-4...
This will take you to a Microsoft web page where you can click on the download button and then install or run the software. Chances are you probably already have this update but just to be safe you can run it again.
The most helpful means of virus infection prevention is just knowing what you are clicking on when emails come in with internet links, or when links and windows pop up in your internet explorer window. Always be aware of the links you click on, if it is coming from someone you know and the link or verbiage in the email or website makes sense and relates to things you are working on it is probably 100% legitimate. If you do not know who the email sender is and the context of the email or website dialogue does not relate to you or your job function then it is very likely an attempt to infect your computer.
As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to email them into us at support@bytelogicsolutions.com. Or you can connect to any of our technicians by going to the website : http://www.bytelogicsolutions.com/support , fill in the required fields, select a representative and click on the click here button and one of our help desk reps will automatically be remoted into your workstation with you.
Thank you,
